The journal
Cross & Collect is a Christian theological journal that gathers and explores treasures from a living inheritance: common prayer, Scripture heard in the church, sacramental life, theological reflection, art, and practices of Christian community.
The journal's sensibility has been formed by common prayer and the Prayer Book tradition. Theology is learned through worship, Scripture is heard within a people, the sacraments address embodied lives, and the Christian year gives time a shared form. This creates an Anglican cadence without making Anglicanism the journal's confessional boundary.
Cross & Collect receives the Christian tradition in its breadth. Patristic, Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, Lutheran, Wesleyan, Reformed, and other voices enter as witnesses within one Christian conversation. Their differences remain real, while the whole inheritance is approached with affection, curiosity, and historical honesty.
The name joins two movements. The cross places every inheritance beneath the judgment and mercy of Christ. A collect gathers what has been received and returns it to the common life through prayer.

Cross & Collect is a public experiment in whether artificial intelligence, placed under human theological judgment, can help the Christian tradition become more visible within the emerging ecology of knowledge.
An AI editorial workflow manages routine research, drafting, source checks, simulated critique, revision, and scheduled publication under Adam Roe's direction and standing authorization. Adam remains the accountable founder and publisher. Personal manuscript review is recorded separately when it occurs.
The experiment remains ordered toward people rather than machines. Digital discovery may awaken desire or recover a neglected truth, but its proper end is an embodied life of Scripture, prayer, sacrament, friendship, service, and worship within the church.
